A random shot of the bright Sunday sky. |
As usual, I had a Chemistry class on Sunday. Since I didn't fall asleep in any Chemistry theory classes last week, I wanted to repeat it. However, I fell asleep. I fell asleep again!! Geez. My friend had Malteser and she placed on her glasses container on the table so we can eat it together without the instructor seeing the Malteser wrap. She was also trying not to fall asleep. She was feeling tired. That's why she had Malteser to give her power/energy. She offered some to me and I did eat some, but I still fell asleep. Hahahaha oh well.
Then, as usual, I also had a Nutrition class. As usual, it's biology stuff and I can't help but fall asleep. Seriously, why biology????? I thought it'll be all about food, but nooooooooooooo... Biology just has to be related to Nutrition. Wait, no... Nutrition is the one that is related to Biology and not the other way around, right? I don't know and I don't want to know. Hahaha anyway, I got bored, so I end up drawing. Yes, the picture below is a shot of it.
Monday, ummm... Monday... What did I do? I had Mathematics class first. I sat beside the window, 2 rows from the back. The row I was sitting at didn't get full. Just maybe half of it. Anyway, someone sat beside me, but we didn't really talk much. I fell asleep in that class too. XD I think me falling asleep was funny. You know, like when my head fell and all. The girl who was sitting beside me laughed a bit. I woke up then. She told me to just put my head down and go sleep, but no. I might fall asleep, but I won't put my head down. Hahahaha no, I mean, I just can't put my head down as if I'm sleeping on purpose. "I fell asleep," yep. Anyway, instead of falling asleep again, I got myself busy. I tried to draw, but it didn't turned out good. Oh well.
That mouth, grrr... |
Because Mondays' classes ends at the evening, I usually don't study once I got home nor late at night. Last Monday wasn't any different and so I just played and laze around. Haha
Let me recap what I did after the morning Math class. I tried to check the Women Sports' Building. It was hidden by this forest-like area between where my Math class is and the food court. You know that pole that shows directions to places? Yea, there was one near the waiting building (that building that you stay inside and wait till you get picked up). I go there every Mondays and Wednesdays because my mom picks me up there on Mondays and Wednesdays, but I never noticed the first tag on the pole. I never noticed it! Also took a picture of it a while ago and I didn't notice it one bit! Seriously. Anyway, I tried to walk through that forest-like area. It was strange to me. How could such place exists in such campus? Hahaha I walked and walked till I found the Sports Building. I entered. It looked quite cool, but I didn't know what to do. I mean, I'm a complete stranger to this Sports Building and so I just walked out and tried to walk my way out of the forest-like area and I found myself close to the food court, but I had no intention of going there and so I just head to the Activity Building and go to the Computer Lab. Sadly, it was full. That time of day, the lab is full. Thank goodness I brought my laptop and so I just used it while waiting for a computer to be empty. I was bored so I surfed around the internet about some 48 family news or whatever. Then, by the time a computer was free, it was already 1 or 2... Anyway, I just took my way to the free computer and did my Chemistry Lab homework. That really did took me a while. Then, when I finished the homework, I tried to continue the brainstorm/layout of essay 2 because we were supposed to write draft 1 essay 2 about.
Theeeeeeeeeeeennnnnnn! Tuesday... Actually, I started writing this post last Wednesday when I could squeeze in some free time. I think at that time, there were some things about Tuesday I wanted to babble about... Hmmmm... I can't remember now. I really can't. Let's just do the usual. I have Chemistry and then Nutrition classes on Tuesdays. I had a Chemistry quiz and I guess that's why I didn't sleep in class. Hahaha I'm such a last minute learner. Then, I had Nutrition class. It was as usual. Or wait, the assignments were due last Tuesday and I completely forgot about that!! So, when the class ended, I just walked outside without handing anything. At the evening, I tried solving it. Took me a looooooooooooooooooooooooong while. Once I finished, I just sent it to the Nutrition instructor through email and apologized for such delay. Then, I think, few days later, I got an email of a homework over due and then I just realized that I was supposed to post it on the university online system instead of posting it, then I sent her an email concerning that and she replied that my homework is already graded. Thank goooooooodness.
Wednesdays!!!!!!!!! I think I remember quite some things, or maybe not. LOL I didn't leave home as early as usual, but when I arrived there, the class was empty. That made me wonder if they cancelled the class and I know nothing of it. It was strange, because usually, if there are no students in my class inside, then another class must still be inside. Maybe the class before my class was cancelled and there was no traffic, so I arrived a bit early and the others were a bit late than usual? Maybe....
See how no one is sitting when I arrived? Yea... It's a beautiful view. Indeed. |
Anyway, I didn't only do that between my Math class and Chemistry Lab class. I sent the email to my Nutrition instructor as I mentioned above and extracted some .zip/.rar files I have on my mp3 player. I was trying to work fast so I can head to the Science Building 10-15 minutes before the class started. Surprisingly, there was some time for me to finish the first draft that I couldn't finish in class last Monday. My English teacher allowed the class to take the papers home and finish it there because there was not enough time to finish the draft. He signed the paper so the students can't use another paper and start all over.
The Chemistry Lab last Wednesday was about standardizing Sodium Hydroxide (NaOH) by Potassium Hydrogen Pathlate (KHP) using an acid-base titration method. The experiment was to be done individually and so I worked alone. I did the experiment as instructed and in the last trial, I wanted to have a more darker shade of pink coming from the solution. I tried finishing the NaOH on my buret, but the color stayed the same. My friend was aware of what I was doing. Then, she offered me her leftover of NaOH on her buret. Of course, I accepted her offer and poured it to my conical flask, but the color stayed the same. Then, I added more Pheolphthalein (did I spell that right?) indicator and it turned to darker shade of pink! Wooooooooowww. Hahahaha sorry for being Norak, but I'm not really used to chemicals and labs! Hahahaha so, most results fascinate me.
Look at that would you! |
After Chemistry Lab class, I went to the Computer Lab again and... and... What did I do? Yea, started posting this post, but there wasn't enough time and so now, here I am, continuing this post! Hahahaha that's because I had an English class to attend.
The English class that day was Peer Review. Meaning, reviewing someone else's draft and fill out the Peer Review sheet and discuss with the author whose work you're editing. I got the best paper. No, I mean, I got the work of one of the best writer in class. She's awesome. Since I'm a lousy editor, I wasn't able to find much error and if there was any, it would just be a minor one. When it was time to discuss with the author, I couldn't say much. Also, I was pretty nervous and I guess my voice did crack when I talked to her. Hahaha she thought I was not feeling well or something. Anyway, since I got her paper, she got mine. She said that she liked what I wrote. She told me what would sound better and what wouldn't. She is a good editor, ne~ She asked me if my parents forced me to do Chemistry, but I told her no. Hahaha my parents don't really care. As far as they do, they would just suggest some majors or whatever and then they won't talk about it anymore, or they rarely do. Either they don't really care or they just trust my choice.
Thursday, so... yea, I had a Math quiz. I didn't really revised much, but the quiz went okay. I got a 90-something. I know what I got so fast? Well, since it was online, it was marked by the system right away. I only lost 1 point out of 12 points. Not bad, I guess. My next quiz should be 90 or above because my first quiz was 60-something and they are only taking the best 3 quizzes marks for the course grade.
Oh right, the Chemistry homework that was due last Tuesday was postponed to Thursday. I didn't care about it. I solved it, but I just didn't do the solvings neatly and just noted down the answers on the Show Your Work questions. I didn't bother to do it again anyway. It's not going to be graded anyway. Why should I bother? Hahaha he posted the answers the previous day, so before I go to school, I checked my answer and see which is wrong and why is it wrong. I got most right, it's just that q+qcalorimeter+qwater=0 or some similar formula. Hahaha
At the beginning of the class, the students were complaining to the instructor about the site of the exams and the chairs. They were complaining about how uncomfortable they were feeling when they sat on such chair with small table in a big hall where noises are inevitable. No, seriously, those chairs and such place are common for exams. Why are they complaining? Other university/college students sat in similar situations and places. They were too spoiled by their parents. Mattaku! The instructors told the class that it can't be changed. It's impossible because there are hundreds of students taking the course. He also told them that talking about such matters is a waste of time and that by practicing questions is a better way to spend the class time. The class ended with solving those practice questions.
I have another midterm tomorrow, Saturday, and what I have been doing today is playing around and lazing around. I woke up late, at 11-something. I had a few dreams and dreams are entertaining so everytime I woke up, I just go back to sleep to continue the dream. Anyway, I guess this is enough babble or rant because I'll try to wake up fast and revise. Revise, yes. I'm a last-minute learner, remember? So, ciao!!!
