About The Babbler

Well... How do I start... First post in a blog is important, right? And here I am, clueless as to what I should type. A random Jikoshoukai, perhaps?

Hello to you, hello to me, and hello to everyone. My alias is Akiko Izumi and the nickname is Mai. I'm an 18 years old Indonesian girl. I'm an anime fan, a manga fan, a JPop fan, a JDrama fan, and whatever else I forgot to mention. I'm super lazy, quite stupid, and ridiculously crazy. Yes, what else? Okay, I'll be looking forward to see your responses to my gibberish babbles. If someone actually bothers to check it out and read it, that is. Yoroshiku onegaishimasu.

And now what... A thorough introduction about me? But I'm too stupid to present a thorough introduction, even if it's about me. *sighs* Alright, I'll try.

I did say that I'm an anime fan, but I wouldn't call myself an Otaku. Why? It's simple. I might get all crazy and hyper about one thing or another in an anime or manga, but... You see... There are lots of time where I was too lazy to watch a season or an episode of anime series. I end up not watching much, but once I got into a series, I'm sure I'll go all crazy about this character or that character or maybe that's just how I feel. *laughs sheepishly* So, the point is, I'm not cut out to be labelled as an Otaku and it's not because I feel being labelled as such is bad or something of sort.
Oh yes, I also said that I'm a manga fan, but the truth is that I prefer watching anime than reading manga. Why? Simply because anime has video and audio qualities in it which makes it much more enjoyable. However, I do read some manga, mostly romantic Shoujo manga, and that's only when my laziness side didn't kick in.
As for JPop... More like anime songs. I don't really follow much of Japanese boybands/girlbands/idol groups. I do follow a little of AKB48 and 48Family though. I'd like to think I'm just a normal fan, but sometimes I just don't know anymore. I like AKB48 because... mmm... it has a variety of songs? Meaningful lyrics? Good music? Some members? Maybe, I don't know. Or perhaps because I don't get bored easily when listening to AKB's songs? Yea, I think so. Many members sing at once and in my opinion, that makes it less boring. Well, true that it doesn't show off each members' talents or capabilities, but oh well. *laughs* Anyway, anime songs are much better. I don't really get attached to most anime songs (openings, endings, character songs) which I haven't really listened to in the series because it's felt kind of new, but when I have listened to it while it's playing as the opening, ending, or insert songs, I'll grow to like it, in most cases. Character songs also felt new when I first listened to it, but if it has a nice tune or beat and then I keep on replaying it, of course I'll like it. And oh, I prefer female singers than male singers. Female has more soothing and softer voices. Well, duh.
Lastly, it may not be the last though, I watch some JDrama. Like Hana Kimi, Gokusen, Jyoou no Kyoushitsu, Yamato Nadeshiko, and Shoukojo Seira to name a few. I have a very poor memory, you see. Anyhow, my preferred genre would be Romance, but most of the times I got taken aback by the drama description. I don't really like cheesy drama. Like, so cheesily romantic with sad life story. Well, I might be okay with unique ones which has, for example, time travel, special power (but not the heroic-villain kind of powers). I'm not good with serious plots either, so I prefer light-hearted comedy romance, not too fluff. Oh god, what am I even saying. *laughs* Hahaha it's okay, I don't really get myself either. Moving on... moving on...
I like most of Japanese-related stuff? Well, yea... I'm not into KDrama, KPop nor Western tv series or celebrities. Not that I'm much into Japanese celebrities though. Oguri Shun has a weird facial structure, Kamenashi Kazuya and Mizushima Hiro too, Maeda Atsuko looked funny and who else. Those were my first impressions, but then I grew to like them or just simply think of them as 'okay'. I'm not sure if I got my standard so high or I'm just not interested in famous people or 3D males/human, but Japanese actors and actress are weird looking. Actors being more weird looking. As for Korean actors, I don't know. They looked just, mmm... okay.. 'Whatever'. As for KPop, well, it's just that I'm not used to it and I know nothing about it and I'm too lazy to get interested in it. Being a fan of Japan-related stuff got my hand full. I won't bother much about Korean, Western, nor Indonesian. However, being an Indonesian, knowing little informations about Indonesian celebrities is a bit inevitable, right.
To wrap The First Gibberish Babble up, I... I... I don't know. I guess this is it. Mmm, okay... Until I have an idea of what I should write next, I'll take my leave. My netbook battery is dying.
Thank you for reading, even though this is just a gibberish babble. I apologize to have you wasted your valuable time to read this. I'm not really familiar with how blogs work and all and I hope this post is decent enough for a start.
     Again, thank you very much,
     Akiko Izumi
