27/10/2013 Chemistry & Nutrition Rant

Okay, before I babble on Magi, KuroBasu, and One Piece, I'm going to rant about Chemistry and Nutrition. Haha

So, yesterday (Saturday) I had a Chemistry midterm exam. On Friday, I didn't study much. I took a h*lla lots of breaks. I was too lazy and laziness can be that dangerous! Hahaha my family went to attend a gathering at a museum park near the sea. I was told to stay home to  keep my grandma a company. It was more like, keeping an eye on her. She's too old to do things well by herself, so... But, that evening, she didn't even come out of her room! She fell asleep and wake up a bit late, some time after my family got home. That's kinda a relief for me.
Anyway, when my family left, I took care of the clothes. It was to be washed, dried and hung. Well, it was the washing machine that did most of the work. I just had to press the buttons and stuff and when it's finished, I hung it in the kitchen. Yes, we use the kitchen to hang washed clothes. Since summer just ended, the patio at the back of the house is quite dirty. When it's winter, or the time between winter and summer or otherwise or when it's not windy, we use the patio to hang the clothes because summer is too hot to get out.
After I hang the clothes, I thought of making instant noodles. My special kind of instant noodles, that is. I usually use Indomie and then the reddish brown one, the curly noodles one. I boiled the noodles and after its developed enough, I add an egg and stir them together. I like my noodles as a soup, so I used lots of water. I put the spices and seasonings into a bowl. Since I like strong taste (or something like that, you get me, right), I add curry powder, chilli powder and a little bit of other seasonings. Also, I added the bottled spicy sauce. Then, before I add egg into the boiling noodles, I spooned some water into the bowl to mix all the spices together and well. When the egg doesn't look raw anymore, I turned off the heat/flame and pour it into the bowl. The content is about 4/5 of the bowl. I like it that way!

Hahahaha I babbled on how I made my noodles. Anyway, I ate my noodles while watching Hotaru no Hikari. I've watched Hotaru no Hikari before, but I don't really remember the story and all. Hotaru no Hikari is hilarious. I think the reason why I stopped before was because I got confused and got taken aback when Hotaru lived under one roof with Makoto. Of course, I like HotaruXBuchou better. Makoto is a bit awkward. I prefer Yuuka to be with Kaname, so Makoto is alone. XD I started to watch on the 3rd episode of the 1st season. I decided on Hotaru no Hikari because I didn't know other dramas to watch. Pin to Kona, I don't feel like watching it anymore. Yes, I ate my noodles while watching Hotaru no Hikari. I finished it before I even finished watching one episode. Then, I thought of making another bowl. Hahaha I certainly am gaining fat, and getting even fatter!
Later at night, I decided to watch more. Because I couldn't use my netbook and my Samsung phone is low on battery, I used my Nokia phone. It's E71. I can only use YouTube to watch anything. I decided to skip into the last episode of the first season, but I couldn't find the video and instead I found the second season episodes. Then I decided to just watch the last episode of the second season. Seems like there's a new character. A carefree, easy-going guy who's got eyes on Hotaru. His name was Seno, I think. His face looked familiar. I wonder if the actor played on another drama that I have watched before. Anyway, seems like Buchou already confessed his feelings, or the other way around and they are already a couple, but because Hotaru is dense, troubles and misunderstandings are inevitable. When did they became a couple, I wonder? When I check the second episode of the second season, they were already a couple. When did they confess? Last episode of the first season? Anyway, I like watching the awkward relationship (Hotaru wasn't aware of it) between Hotaru and Buchou. It's not as fun when they are already aware of their feelings towards each other, so I kinda gave up on season 2. I wanted to watch season 1, last episode, but I got lazy. Oh well.
Back to the studying topic, I couldn't get away much from Hotaru no Hikari that evening/night, so I only skimmed a bit of the textbook. I thought that I'm going to be okay for the exams. Then, I got myself a cake from the fridge. My brother bought cakes when he went to the pool the other night. It was a bit hard, but it was okay.
I slept late that night because of Hotaru no Hikari. I doubt that it was so late though. That's because I fell asleep a bit early for sleeping late. Maybe it was only 12 when I fell asleep? Because I slept kinda late, I woke up late. My mom woke me up saying that it's already seven in the morning! I intended to wake up early and study a bit, but that plan failed. Oh gosh. I only took a bath and got ready to leave. I was barely on time. Thank goodness. I even had time to check the mono, di, tri, tetra stuff as well as which compounds makes weak electrolyte. I went to the central hall and took a seat. It was a bit confusing because the lady told me that my class (they sort it by the instructors and then the section) is the last 2 columns, but it was for a different instructor. I looked for my instructor's name on the separator, but the section code is different. Then I saw my friend and thought, "Oh well, as long as I write my section code right on the exam paper, it won't matter," and just breezes through to the empty seat behind my friend's seat.
When the instructor told us we can start, I started. I started with the last 5 questions because those needed me to show my workings, and then the 30 multiple choices. The paper was okay. It wasn't too hard. I finished in a little more than an hour, but, as usual, there're always questions I'm not sure about.
Today, I had a Chemistry class. My instructor said to the class that there was no one who got 75. When he first said that, I thought that he meant the percentage, 75%. I was like, "What?" because I'm sure I wasn't that bad, unless I overestimated myself. It turned out that he meant points, not percentages. I think he only meant the multiple choice questions because there were 30 questions and each has 2.5 points while the Show your working questions were 5 questions and each holds 5 points. 30 times 2.5 is 75, right. Some girls were surprised. They thought that no one did good, but the instructor pointed out that, of course, there are several girls who did good. By the way, he made it sounded more like guize instead of guys when it should be girls. Like, there was some one who only had one mistake, so 72.5 points. I hope that he's going to post the grades soon. I want to know my grade and see if I did overestimated myself.

Next class was Nutrition. Last week Nutrition was a midterm exam, so in the beginning of today's class, the instructor gave us our papers to see the marks and see if she made any mistakes in grading it and counting the numbers. I secretly wished that I was extremely lucky and get most of my answers wrong. In the class, there was another girl who had the same name as me. Same pronunciation, but different spellings. It was kinda tense waiting for my paper to be given to me. Then, when it came to my name, she wasn't sure that that name is mine. She wasn't sure how to pronounce it. Hahaha then I went over to her and check. I nodded at her and told her that that is my name.
So, guess what I got. I got 76%! Hahaha well, I wasn't extremely lucky, but for someone like me to get that much in such subject, I was lucky enough. The midterm exam is 25% of the final grade. I worked out how much I got when it's out of 25. It is 19. Doesn't look so bad.  I kinda like 19 out of 25 and 38 out of 50 better than 7.6 out of 10 and 76 out of 100. XD Hahaha
Today is the deadline of the first Nutrition homework and I finally finished it an hour ago. It was troublesome to measure the calories and the mass and the servings and whatever else... Wouldn't the kcal be the key figures? As long as the total is below 2200 calories, it should be fine, right? Yes, it should. It should! The below picture is what I ended up with. It's not so accurate, wait, it's not accurate at all. I estimated the amount of oils, proteins, grains or whatever else. I'm not going to make everything under the required amount needed for each food group. I went over it. It should be okay, it should be okay. I did that on spreadsheet on GoogleDrive. I made use of some simple formulas. I studied that for 3 or more years, and yet I'm still slow and made mistakes. Oh well. The below picture looked decent and okay, right. I hope it is.
Menu Plan for Nutrition Homework
And yesterday, I took off the bookmarks I put on important pages and then made something just because I was bored. Oh well.

I guess this is quite enough for a babble/rant. I wanted to babble on Magi, KuroBasu and One Piece too, so I need to search for some screenshots around the net. Also, I wanted to babble about shoujo manga. What time is it now? Almost 11. Maybe I should head to sleep. Yea, I better head to sleep.

By the way, why do I point my pinkie and thumbs of my right hand upwards most of the time when I type on this netbook? It's a bit weird, right. I feel as if the way my right hand posture while typing is weird and a bit uncomfortable, but I have no idea how to change it. My left hand feels okay though. Maybe it's the keyboard? Yea, maybe. Okay, I guess this is it. Enough, enough. XD Later.
