12/03/2015 Spring'15 Quizzes

Yeah... I think other than some pictures from the previous post, there really were some stuffs that I forgot to babble about it. First, why am I making babbling about my activities (or the lack of) a routine and then make not babbling about it a routine, or breaking the former routine??? Lol, whatever la.

So, what was it about? Quizzes? How many quizzes have I had so far? Physical quizzes on the second week and today, organic quiz on second (or was it third? Third, I think), biology quiz yesterday and physics quiz on on Monday. Of course, there were pre-lab quizzes for the lab sessions. Two for experimental physics and two for bio lab.

I have about 20 minutes to do all this. *cough* I mean write all this.

First, physical quiz... The first quiz was a disaster and I didn't study for it. Hahaha actually, I did study, but obviously nowhere to be enough to get a decent score for it. Like, only a day before... Wait, no... Hours before. Procrastinating to a whole new level, perhaps? What am I so relaxed about? Okay, not relaxed... More like, LAZY! When the professor gave the quiz papers back, the marks were bad. Generally so for the class and so he said that he won't count this quiz and we better make up for it in the next quiz.
The next quiz was an hour ago, okay two hours ago. Same as before, I just studied for it this morning. What the heck, I know right. Thankfully, the quiz was okay and I was saved because the questions that came in the quiz was for the first case of thermodynamics; first law, the isothermal and reversible case. If not, I wouldn't be able to apply the equation and lose the whole 8 points. I hope my working out and answers are right. Is it so ridiculous to hope for a 10 when I got 2 in the previous quiz? Hahaha

I don't have much time till 2, so.... Organic quiz? The first 2 chapters of organic II were about IR spectroscopy, mass spectra and NMR. All the things are confusing and to find out what the compound is when the IR and NMR are provided. Geh.... By the first quiz on the third week (or was it second?), we have only reached the IR spectroscopy. It was also generally bad for the class. Given how he teaches, well... no... How he speaks and explains, the whole thing wasn't so clear. It ends up similar to physical first quiz, but the quiz turned into a homework. The first quiz wasn't to be counted and the next quiz will be next Monday. The next quiz was first decided on Monday, but delayed to Wednesday and then to Monday the next week. Hahaha then... that shall mean that I have to study for it! Well, study seriously. Yea, seriously. ...if possible.

Physics quiz on Monday, eh? Yeah... it wasn't good either. My calculator broke and won't show me the answers. Unfortunately, really. I think the few days before the physics quiz day, it fell hard. When I check, I could press the buttons and it appeared on the screen, but I didn't check if the answer will show up or not. Turns out, it didn't show up. So, for the final question, I only did the working out and no final answer. What luck?! Then again, it's not like I'd do so good since for the first question, I only used common sense, but it surely was wrong. What common sense, right?! Hahahaha turned out that it was one of those unit questions. Then, on the vector question using cross method, I forgot about it and chose the wrong answer! Maybe, the most I can get out of that quiz, in terms of score number, is a 5 out of 10. I have to start exercising and solve a lot of practice questions! I've got the book, pdf version downloaded after all.

Then, Biology... The quiz was yesterday and the diagnostic was last week and I saw the diagnostic score on Saturday... Okay, I don't think I have anymore time, so I'll pause here! Will be editing it later at home. So... resuming two days after, eh. *sweatdrops* Where was I? :/ Okay, the quiz... I think my answers were random and as for the diagnostic, I got 80%. The diagnostic accounts for 5% of the course grade, so that's a 4% secured. Thank goodness for the bonus questions, if not I'd get a 70%, which would be about 3.5%, right. Hmmm... Then again, it's Biology, what should I be expecting? I haven't been taking any Biology classes since high school and before year 10, it was just science classes, not Biology classes specifically. I should be reading up the book, no? I guess so...

Chemistry, Physics, Biology done... What else? The lab? Physical lab... Yea, it's fine. Just fine, not so extremely good, nor so extremely bad. For the first quiz I got a 10, so I guess that's a way to start the course. Like, some sort of motivation or sign that I'll get the hang of it... or not. I tend to overestimate my abilities and slack off. This won't do... But on the other hand, I underestimate and then got too lazy to study and do something about it so there might be a chance that I won't flunk. Well, something along that line. Oh wait, the second pre-lab quiz grade is out, let me check. A 9, good enough.

HOLD ON! The score for the second Physical quiz is also out. 14 out of 20? What the heck? I thought I got this in the bag. Huh, huh, huh??? What went wrong though? Could this be an example of me overestimating myself? Obviously. Now, on to watching those lecture videos. Yup.

The Bio lab is alright so far. Alright.

If there is Grandma's Voice in my head, she'd knock sense into me. Hard. Real hard.
